It’s Fine is a music video for Dutch artist Zomer. The song is about depression and the power of friendship that carries you through it, step by step. The video follows a young woman who gradually withdraws into herself, while her friend keeps trying to reach her. That dynamic translates visually through clothing, locations and colour: heavy layers and dark interiors slowly give way to the outside world, light and open air.
I was responsible for filming, scouting locations and editing. All footage was shot in Soesterberg, both indoors and out in nature. For the outdoor scenes I looked for locations that reinforced a sense of space and freedom, while the indoor scenes are intentionally tighter and quieter. I used a gimbal for fluid movements that followed the emotional rhythm of the song. In the edit I worked on building that gradual shift from heavy to light, with colour and pacing carrying the transition together.
This project taught me how to convey a feeling without stating it outright. Not by showing it, but by making it felt through light, location and movement.
