Pour & Explore is a student magazine about nightlife and daytime activities in Breda, created for young adults between 18 and 24. The magazine was made over a period of four months together with a team of five, with a Breda edition as the first instalment and Utrecht planned as the next.
I was responsible for the full layout of the magazine in InDesign, making sure all the content came together in a consistent and visually engaging design. On top of that, I wrote the fiction story “Cold Nights, Warmer Bonds”, a short story set across several real Breda nightlife venues that captures the energy and community of a night out in the city.
This was my first time working with InDesign, which made it both a challenge and a steep learning curve. It pushed me to think carefully about how layout, typography and visuals work together to tell a story, and by the end I felt a lot more confident working with the programme.
